How to Unlock a User Account

Overview

To protect account security, user accounts are automatically locked after five consecutive failed login attempts. Administrators can unlock accounts directly through the Admin settings.


This is different from the lockout that occurs after 30 failed login attempts from the same IP address, which triggers a one-hour waiting period before login attempts can resume. To help prevent lockouts, we strongly recommend avoiding shared logins.


Unlock the Account

  1. Log in to your Admin account
  2. Navigate to Admin > Settings
  3. Scroll down to Teammates
  4. Locate the teammate whose account is locked and click Edit
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the Edit Teammate page
  6. Click Unlock Account

     
  7. This will immediately unlock the teammate’s account
