How to Pack and Ship for Goodwill Bluebox

Overview

All boxes need to meet the following criteria:

Do not use recycled cardboard from donations
Use only gum tape - never ever use plastic tape!
Use only gum tape - saying it again for emphasis

Box size suggestions: 8x8x4, 12x12x12, 10x10x10, 15x15x15

After Bluebox auctions on Friday evening, you can view and print your orders by following these steps:

Go to Orders > Ready to Fulfill
Click More Filters > Channels > Bluebox
Save this filter for future shipments and label it “Bluebox”

Step 3: Tape

Step 4: Ship

Step 1: Check the Order

Read the order to verify the type of Mystery Box and size variant (e.g. S, M, L, XL, XXL).

Double check the quantity of boxes in the order. For example, if the invoice below said “2 X $22.50” then the order calls for 2 Women’s Basic Apparel Boxes, Sized M. Click here for more detailed packing guidelines.

Step 2: Condense, If Possible

Combine multiple boxes into as few boxes as possible, without exceeding 45 LBS per box. For example, you should be able to fit 2 Women’s Small boxes in a 12 x 12 x 12 Cube box.

A few exceptions apply:

Do not condense LEGO boxes
If you condense jewelry repurpose boxes, keep them in their original 8 x 8 x 4 boxes, tape them, and then put those boxes inside a larger box.
Do not condense non-alike boxes (e.g. do not combine a Repurpose Shoe Box with a Basic Apparel Box)
